There has been a lot of talk on Akshay Kumar doing Divya
Khosla's next directorial venture, but no official announcement has yet been

Kapoor is almost ready with the script and Akshay has
liked what he is developing. The modalities are fast being worked out and it
won't be long before T-Series starts talking about this film.
Currently, we hear, Akshay is shooting for Padman in
Maheshwar, a city in Khargone district about 91 km from Indore. Twinkle, who is producing the film, has also joined
him.Padman is being produced under the banner Mrs. Funnybones Movies, a new
production house started by Twinkle. Padman is a biopic of
Arunachalam Muruganantham, a small town entrepreneur from Tamil Nadu who
invented low-cost sanitary napkins to generate awareness in rural areas about
its usages and hygiene. Arunachalam was also awarded the Padma Shri, one of the
highest civilian awards by the Government of India, in 2016.
Akshay has struck a chord with Bhushan and Subhash. Both
Akshay and Subhash are renowned for making quality cinema but both also have a
lighter side to their personality. And what’s more, both are Punjabi and
brought their larger than life persona to life on set with their crackling
chemistry. As for Bhushan, he and Akshay are like family.
Divya has earlier directed Yaariyan and Sanam Re. But this will be her first
film with a superstar. We hear, Akshay did not take too long to say 'yes'
to Divya's offer. Divya and Akshay have known each other since a long time. She
was his co-star in Anil Sharma's Ab Tumhare Hawale Vatan Saathiyon (2004).
Despite a text message, Bhushan Kumar chose not to
comment on the story.
